Let the great Windows Exodus begin!

Matt Bouchard’s Adventures in Real Time

Today Apple announced that it will be supporting a dual boot solution via a new program called Boot Camp, with full support in their next release of their operating system, OSX 10.5.

This is fantastic news. As anyone whos dealt with issues of migrating users from a dated, but necessary software program knows, the transition to a better system will only occur if their is a transition solution.

Asking millions of Windows users to simply pack up their bags and move to OS X is a pretty large task, and for business that task is magnified 10 fold.

And, now Apple has a solution for them and its only a little more expensive than the competitors “solution”.

Before today the quesiton many people asked was “why should I buy a Mac when it doesn’t run my software I use today?”. Now the question has been flipped and people will be asking “why shouldn’t I buy a Mac since it runs both?”
